Dr. Alejandra (Alex) Sel is a Senior Lecturer in Psychology and Director of the SELab at the Centre for Brain Sciences, University of Essex, UK. She received a PhD in Psychobiology from Complutense University of Madrid, Spain. She then worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Royal Holloway University of London and at the University of Oxford. She leads an innovative research programme investigating how brain networks support movement control and how these change across the lifespan, using advanced neurophysiological and brain stimulation methods.
