Ana Figueiras is a researcher and assistant professor at the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Coimbra and a member of REQUIMTE/LAQV. Her research focuses on advanced drug delivery strategies, particularly polymeric micelles for cancer treatment. She has led multiple FCT- and FEDER-funded projects, including the development of micelles for osteosarcoma and colorectal cancer therapy. With 66 publications, an h-index of 29, and extensive contributions to books and conferences, she is a recognized expert in pharmaceutical nanotechnology. Additionally, she supervises PhD and master’s students, coordinates academic programs, and collaborates internationally in research and innovation.
