The meta-analysis, which was presented by F. N. U. Vaibhav from Pandit Bhagwat Dayal Sharma Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Rohtak, India, included over 50 clinical trials and observational studies in women with an average age of 51 years. The researchers found that the risk of AD was 32% lower among women who started HRT within 5 years of menopause than in those who received a placebo or no treatment. Conversely, initiation of HRT at ≥65 years of age was linked to a 38% increase in AD risk.
