Zsuzsanna Helyes, she is an MD, PhD, professor of pharmacology at the Department of Pharmacology and Pharmacotherapy, University of Pecs Medical School, and a member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. She focuses on neuropharmacology, the capsaicin-sensitive peptidergic sensory system and neurovascular-immune interactions in inflammatory and pain processes, as well as related psychological comorbidities. She aims to identify novel targets for analgesic, anti-inflammatory, and antidepressant drug development. She published 278 papers with 11,530 citations, owns 12 patents, h-index is 60. She is a senior editor of the British Journal of Pharmacology and the president of the Hungarian Society of Experimental and Clinical Pharmacology
